Featuring products in lawn & garden, pet, feed, hardware, livestock, seed, animal health and clothing, The Country Store serves farmers, homeowners, businesses, families and communities in Washington State, Coeur d’Alene, ID & Stevensville, MT.

The company is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor. Ideal candidates will possess a high level of initiative, discretion and independent judgment, with a can-do attitude and the ability to multi-task. One who can see things that need to be done and figure out a way to do them effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Greet and interact with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise.
  • Assist with customers’ orders by loading and unloading products as needed.
  • Oversee and coordinate shipping, receiving and delivery activities performed by warehouse personnel.
  • Manage paper flow and safety programs.
  • Maintain product stock in the store and warehouse.
  • Assemble products and displays.
  • Regularly drive a vehicle to make deliveries, visit various worksites, other businesses and customer locations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment (delivery truck, forklift, etc.).
  • Dispense propane and/or kerosene.
  • Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Maintain the overall general upkeep and housekeeping of facilities and surrounding area.
  • Serve as a safety liaison between personnel and management.
  • Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships.
  • Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license (or 18 years of age with a valid commercial driver’s license) to operate a commercial motor vehicle (10,001 lbs. GVWR). Maintain a safe and insurable driving record.
  • 3+ years’ directly supervising personnel or equivalent internal retail experience.
  • Possess a valid driver license and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Be able to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate for the operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards especially in terms of providing outstanding customer service.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods; bend, stoop and kneel frequently.
  • Lift, carry, push, pull and load up to 60 pounds.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills, including navigating websites and receiving/sending emails
  • Proven track record of being dependable and reliable
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a warehouse or retail setting.
  • Product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, hardware, fencing, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, lawn & garden or wild bird supplies.
  • Experience safely dispensing propane cylinders, operating pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.

Schedule

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position (schedule may vary). Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

Compensation & Benefits
